My Spring Excerpts

Grandma Carin puts me to bed and tells me that my cousins and the sun are long asleep. But when she leaves the room, I decide I want to see Grandpa Harry before calling it a night. So I scream. Sure enough, Grandma Carin comes to me. I point to the door with my index finger while making the sound “mh, mh, mh” to get my point across. She carries me there. I point to the steps and repeat “mh, mh, mh.” She carries me down them. I point to the couch on which Grandpa Harry sits and add “mh, mh, mh.” She takes me to the sofa and places me on his lap. As Grandpa Harry gently cradles me in his arms, I am content and fall fast asleep.
